Machete attack on Kerry campus leaves students terrified

Gardaí had to be called to a shocking incident in Tralee involving an individual brandishing what appears to be a machete on the grounds of the Kerry Education & Training Board Monavalley Campus on Tuesday morning.

The terrifying scenes show a group of youths scuffling before one individual takes out a machete and starts attacking another individual with it.

The campus was immediately locked down for security reasons during the attack as terrified staff and students awaited the arrival of the guards.
