The non-conference schedule has officially wrapped up for the Emporia State women's soccer team as they travelled to Colorado to play Regis and Colorado State at Pueblo this past weekend. The Hornets would split the road trip by losing to Regis 3-1 and beating CSU-Pueblo 2-0.
Starting with the Regis match, the Hornets would be put in a hole early as the Rangers would go up 1-0 in the eighth minute of the game. Not even nine minutes later, it would be 2-0, and the hole is dug for the Hornets. Before the end of the first half, sophomore midfielder Madeline Brady put the Hornets on the board to make it 2-1.
Coming out of halftime, the Hornets would have a chance to score off a shot from sophomore forward Megan Kephart, but it would not go. In the 51stminute, Regis would get a penalty kick t
