COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) -The Columbus Police Department will hold a press conference Tuesday morning in reference to a deadly shooting that happened at the Shirley B. Winston Recreation Center in August.

According to Columbus officials, 22-year-old Jacarie Charles was shot and killed at Shirley Winston Park on Friday, August 29.

Tuesday’s press conference will begin at 11 a.m. Assistant Chef Lance Deaton, Mayor Skip Henderson, and District Attorney Don Kelly are expected to attend the presser.
