The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) seized more than 1,000 pounds of methamphetamine last week in DeKalb County.

DEA meth seizure in Atlanta

The DEA arrested five people, who they say are citizens of Mexico. They said four of those suspects are illegal aliens, and that one suspect has been deported from the U.S. twice.

Authorities charged five individuals with possession with intent to distribute meth on September 19.

Authorities said these suspects allegedly sold meth to undercover DEA agents.

Agents found the meth in an apartment, in another residence, and in trash bags in the suspects' cars. They also found $12,000 in cash and one gun.
