EDINBURG, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Alzheimer's Association San Antonio and South Texas Chapter is hosting an event on Tuesday, Sept. 23, in Edinburg to discuss the latest advances in Alzheimer's disease treatments and research.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will feature Dr. Maria C. Carrillo, Chief Science Officer of the Alzheimer's Association, who will present the latest updates in Alzheimer's and dementia research.

"We are proud to be partnering with DHR Health Institute for Research and Development and Methodist Healthcare Ministries to bring this event to the Rio Grande Valley," said Marcie McDonald, Executive Director of the Alzheimer's Association San Antonio & South Texas Chapter.
