CARBONDALE, Ill. (KFVS) - Parents and caregivers can get car seats and booster seats inspected in Carbondale.

According to the city, on Friday, September 26, certified car seat safety technicians from the fire department and police department will be showing child passenger safety and checking car seats for proper use and installation.

You can stop by between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m.

They ask, if possible, that you bring the child who will be riding in the car seat, the vehicle owner’s manual and the car seat instruction manual.

It should take about 30 minutes per car seat, they said.

Child Passenger Safety Week is Sept. 21-27.

There will also be several inspection opportunities in southeast Missouri .
