The RCMP says it continues to search for a child who went missing in Crowsnest Pass.

At 11:33 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 21, 2025, the Crowsnest Pass detachment received a report that Darius Macdougall was missing.

He was last seen walking with six family members near the Island Lake Campground when he was separated from the group.

Macdougall has autism, and his family says it is often difficult for him to respond to others.

Crowsnest Pass RCMP says search efforts persisted throughout Monday night and will continue today.

The members involved in the search include over 60 ground members of the Southwest Alberta Regional Search and Rescue, along with RCMP, RCMP drones and dogs, and ascent helicopters out of Fernie.
