MANSFIELD, Ohio (WOIO) - An 18-year-old was killed after being ejected from his car Monday evening.

Mansfield police said Christopher Adkins is believed to have been speeding on wet roads when he lost control in the 700 block of Poth Rd.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found the victim’s Chevrolet Cobalt in the tree line.

Police immediately began rendering first aid to Adkins, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other vehicles were involved.
