YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WOIO) - The Mahoning County Dog Warden said they have taken in 78 dogs in just 22 days...

“We, like so many rescues, shelters and pounds are devastatingly overcrowded,” MCDW shared.

Of those more than six dozen dogs, MCDW said a couple were found deceased, and one who was critically injured was unable to be saved.

Furthermore, “quite a few were emaciated,” and “too many were repeat offenders,” according to MCDW.

The majority of them also had no identification, said MCDW.

MCDW urged the community to please spay and neuter your dogs.

Here are a few low-cost clinics MCDW suggested you may take your dog to get fixed:

Alleycat Spay and Neuter Clinic

Angels For Animals

Steel Valley Spay Neuter Clinic

Tails of Hope Inc
