MURRAY, Ky. (KFVS) - A western Kentucky man is accused of being intoxicated at an apartment complex and trying to get two children to go with him.

Dawson McCoy, 26, of Murray, was arrested for attempted kidnapping of a minor and alcohol intoxication.

According to Murray police, they responded to an apartment complex around 3:43 p.m. on Friday, September 19 for a report of a person who appeared to be intoxicated.

Police say the man, identified as McCoy, grabbed two young children and tried to get them to go with him. They said both children were able to pull away from McCoy.

McCoy was arrested and taken to the Calloway County Jail. His bond was set at $10,000 cash.
