BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) - It’s a day of love, care, and connection because community matters. The Greater Divine Missionary Baptist Church is hosting its 11th annual wellness fair and clothes giveaway in October.

Jazzmin Sanderford, youth director at Greater Divine MBC, says they're collecting gently used children's and adult clothes and household items to give away to those in need.

"We've helped so many in the community. Whether it's a tragedy by fire or someone's first time at [an] interview," said Sanderford.

Living up to its mission as “A Church Where Love Abides,” Greater Divine invites families and individuals from surrounding neighborhoods to participate in this free, community-centered event.

In addition to clothing, the event will feature a health and wellness fair
