SACRAMENTO, Calif. —

Tuesday may be the first full day of Autumn, but it still feels like summer with some communities experiencing near record warmth. Valley highs will be in the upper 90s and low 100s today. Stockton is forecast to be one degree shy of the record 101 degrees set in 2002 and a Heat Advisory is in place for the Bay Area as San Francisco will see afternoon highs in the 80s and the East Bay braces for possible triple digit highs.

Clouds and cooler temperatures arrive Wednesday. A few showers and thunderstorms are possible late in the day on Wednesday and into Thursday with the best chances being in the Sierra and areas South of Sacramento.

Valley high rebound into the 90s again for Friday, but cooler, more seasonable weather is expected for the weekend.
