Tallahassee-based Florida State University received a $10 million gift to expand its nurse education program. The gift comes from the Fairholme Foundation and is the largest-ever to the College of Nursing, according to a Sept. 22 university news release. The funds will be used to expand the undergraduate nursing program to the Panama City campus, add cutting-edge technologies and fund faculty research to advance healthcare for aging populations.

FSU will also invest its own resources to undertake renovations, secure equipment and hire staff for the program.
