CHILLICOTHE, Mo - Over 140 fourth grade students from Livingston County recently participated in Progressive Agriculture Safety Day in Chillicothe.

The event was hosted by the Livingston County Health Center. Students learned how to recognize and handle potential hazards at home, on the farm, and throughout rural communities. Students from Chillicothe Elementary Schools, Livingston County R-3, Southwest Livingston County R-1, and Bishop Hogan School all attended.

A total of nine interactive sessions were conducted. Topics included fire safety, electrical safety, poison awareness, tractor and PTO safety, ATV and UTV safety, water safety, grain bin safety.
