COLUMBIA, Mo - With fall officially underway the American Red Cross is urging Missourians to consider making lifesaving blood or platelet donations to keep the blood supply strong.

Donors with types O positive and B negative blood are especially needed. These donations will help patients relying on critical transfusions get the help they need.

Those who donate between now and October 19th will receive a $10 Amazon Gift Card by e-mail. Donations can be made online at redcrossblood.org or by using the Red Cross Blood Donor App. A full list of area blood drives can be found online with this story at kmzu.com
