PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) -- Bradley University's annual fall census reports 1,064 new students, with a freshman class of 642.

In addition to the Class of 2029, other new students include 150 transfer students, 119 online students, and 153 graduate students, with a combined 3.8 grade point average. The new students represent 17 different states and 25 different countries.

The new student enrollment is a decline from previous years, according to a statement from the university. Administration notes the school was expecting the decline based on "broader demographics and market trends in higher education."
