Two people died early Tuesday in a fiery crash on Interstate 96 near Beck Road in Novi, officials said.

Police said officers and firefighters were called at about 2:08 a.m. to a location on eastbound I-96 near the Beck Road exit for a report of a serious crash.

First responders arrived and found two vehicles fully engulfed in flames, according to authorities.

Police said the drivers of both vehicles suffered fatal injuries in the crash. They identified them as Neena Wang, 30, a California resident, and Sylvette Campbell, 57, of Westland. Both were the sole occupants of their vehicles.
