An under-construction home in the Highlands neighbourhood was destroyed by fire early Tuesday morning.
Firefighters were called to 65 Street and 111 Avenue around 3:30 a.m. EFRS says they arrived at a fully involved home under construction, with neighbouring homes threatened.
A second alarm was quickly called for additional support, and fire crews evacuated neighbouring homes.
According to EFRS, two neighbouring homes sustained exposure damage.
While the fire was declared under control at 6:10 a.m., as of 9.15 a.m., crews were still on scene to ensure the fire was fully extinguished.
No one was injured and investigators are at work to determine the cause of the fire.
