ANN ARBOR – Michigan’s offense has vastly improved this season compared to 2024.

It is averaging 436.8 yards per game after averaging 286.2 last year, which ranked No. 129 out of 134 FBS teams.

But there is still one element hampering the 19th-ranked Wolverines’ offense through four games. According to Pro Football Focus, Michigan has recorded 11 drops in 2025 – one more than they had in all 13 games last season.

Two of Michigan’s starting wideouts, junior Semaj Morgan and redshirt freshman Channing Goodwin, are tied for second in the country with four drops apiece. Morgan has 11 receptions on 17 targets this season, while Goodwin has caught seven passes despite being targeted 18 times.
