Florida State University President Richard McCullough says the latest U.S. News & World Report rankings are the best in the school’s history and “affirm that we are moving in the right direction and inspire us to reach even greater heights.”

FSU rose to the No. 21 ranking for best public universities, up two spots from last year.

“Our rise in the rankings is a testament to the dedication of our students, faculty and staff,” McCullough said. “Achieving the highest overall ranking in our university’s history reflects our commitment to academic excellence, student success and impactful research. This recognition enhances our national reputation and strengthens the value of a degree from our institution.”
