FRANKLIN COUNTY, Kan. (KAKE) - A 54-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly shooting at a sheriff's deputy.
KMBC-TV reports that Lester Caleb was firing a gun on his property near Ottawa Sunday evening when a neighbor reported being threatened. As a deputy arrived on scene, investigators said Caleb shot at the deputy two times. The deputy was not struck, and not injured. The Franklin County Sheriff's Office says Caleb was then seen walking across a driveway towards his house, when the deputy lost sight of him.
