HAMDEN, Conn. (WTNH) — This Sunday, the community will once again honor the life of a Yale New Haven Hospital nurse through the Run/Walk to Save a Life race in Hamden.
The annual 5K honors life-long Hamden resident Christopher Andreozzi, who experienced a sudden cardiac death while driving in May of 2023. The race also includes hospital staff who will teach life-saving CPR training to participants.
Andreozzi, 35, worked as an advanced-practice registered nurse at YNHH.
"Christopher was an amazing young man," his father, Richard, told News 8. "My wife Anna loved him dearly, his brother and sister loved him dearly. He did a great amount in a short period of time on this earth and we were blessed to have him for 35 years."
