An early-morning fire destroyed a home under construction, and severely damaged two others on Tuesday morning.
At 3:24 a.m. fire crews received a call about a structure fire near 65 Street and 111 Avenue. They arrived at 3:29 a.m. to a home under construction that was fully engulfed in flames, and had spread to two neighbouring homes, said a spokesperson with Edmonton Fire and Rescue Services in an email to Postmedia on Tuesday morning.
Fire crews called for additional support and people from neighbouring homes were evacuated. EFRS said the fire was under control at 6:10 a.m. but crews remained on scene Tuesday morning to get the blaze fully extinguished.
