TAWAS CITY – Two days after dropping their first Northern Michigan Soccer League game of the season, Tawas Area bounced back at the hands of their rivals. On Thursday, the Braves took care of business against visiting Oscoda, 8-0 and kept them in control of their own fate in the conference title chase in the process.

“We certainly did (bounce back), everybody played and I had seven scorers, so things were spread around,” head coach Ken Cook said. “That was a good opportunity to get everyone off the bench, I hadn’t been able to do that the last game or two.”

The Braves’ early scoring efforts gave them a 6-0 lead at the half. They booted in two goals early in the second half, ending the match with 32 minutes left to play due to the mercy rule.
