The Maritime Heritage Society is officially opening its revamped exhibit, What Lies Beneath, which has been transformed into a captivating space highlighting the region's marine history and modern ocean science.

At the heart of the exhibit is a stunning large-scale underwater photograph taken by local photographer Ricky Belanger.

Belanger will share stories about how he captured the image and demonstrate the photography equipment that makes his work possible. Adding historical depth, avid scuba diver and instructor Ruedi Pletscher will showcase his collection of vintage underwater cameras in a demonstration of the advances in marine imaging over the years.
