Weapon found in car at Tattnall County High School

TATTNALL COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) - A weapon was found in a car parked in the student parking lot at Tattnall County High School Tuesday Morning.

The weapon was discovered during a scheduled safe schools search. Tattnall County High School says at no time was there a threat to students or staff.

The weapon and the student involved were secured by local law enforcement.

In a statement, Tattnall County High School says, “the safety and well-being of our students and staff will always be our highest priority, and we remain committed to keeping our schools secure and supportive learning environments.”
