Our previous looks at It: Welcome to Derry focused on some more grounded, realer evils lurking at the heart of a small town in ’60s Maine—cops, racism, sexism, the titular Derry has them all. But now we’re getting closer to the show’s debut, HBO wants to remind you that things are going to get somehow even worse for the residents of Derry. Much, much worse.

Just over a month before the show hits streaming, today HBO dropped our biggest look yet at It: Welcome to Derry , unveiling a glimpse at the horrors to come when Pennywise (the returning Bill Skarsgård) makes his arrival known.

The trailer starts much like our prior looks at the series, as we follow the arrival of a young Black family, the Hanlons (Charlotte and Leroy, played by Taylour Paige and Jovan Adepo, respectively).
