Jimmy Kimmel’s Tuesday night return to television screens will not be carried on Tulsa's KTUL channel 8 or other stations owned by Sinclair Broadcasting Group.
KTUL is owned and operated by Sinclair Broadcasting Group, which released this statement Monday: “Beginning Tuesday night, Sinclair will be preempting ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ across our ABC affiliate stations and replacing it with news programming. Discussions with ABC are ongoing as we evaluate the show’s potential return.”
ABC announced Sept. 17 that Kimmel had been suspended. The suspension came two days after the talk show host made comments related to the death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
In his Sept. 15 monologue, Kimmel said, among other things, “We hit some new lows over
