A 24-year-old driver was killed Monday after crashing on U.S. 62 in Muskogee County.

Cristian B. Castro of Tulsa was reportedly driving north on U.S. 62 near Boynton when he attempted to pass another vehicle, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The preliminary crash report indicates Castro lost control of his vehicle after encountering oncoming traffic. Castro's vehicle went off the roadway to the right before rolling multiple times, troopers said.

Castro, the only occupant of the vehicle, was ejected in the crash; he was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the report.
