Rapper Sean Kingston and his mother have been ordered to pay $38,500 in restitution to a victim after the two were convicted in a $1 million fraud scheme in South Florida.

Kingston, whose legal name is Kisean Paul Anderson, and his mother, Janice Eleanor Turner, were each convicted by a federal jury in March of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and four counts of wire fraud.

The 35-year-old Kingston was sentenced to three and a half years in prison last month. His mother was sentenced to five years in prison .

A federal court on Monday ordered the pair to pay the restitution to a victim identified as "B.C." and ruled a portion of Kingston's income during and after prison must go toward the payment.
