The state fairgrounds will turn creepy for two weeks as spooky season arrives next month with haunted houses, carnival rides, food, vendors and roaming ghouls ready to freak you out and get you into the Halloween spirit.

The event, called Scare at the Fair , is a debut event taking place at the Oregon State Fair and Exposition Center starting on Oct. 10 and going through Nov. 2. The event will include four different haunted houses put on by the professionals at Fright Planet who are ready to scare you silly.
