SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio — Shaker Heights police have lifted a call for residents to shelter in place after a suspect was arrested on Tuesday afternoon.
According to a post on the police department's official Facebook page, officers were searching for a suspect involved in a "Cleveland incident" near Kemper Road, prompting the shelter in place order.
A short time later, the suspect was arrested and the order was lifted. The suspect is now in the custody of the Cleveland Division of Police.
The suspect is said to be a 45-year-old man wanted in connection to a recent double-homicide in Cleveland. Cleveland police also said that they currently have a 33-year-old in custody who is believed to have been involved in that homicide.
Both suspects' names have yet to be released.
