MEDINA COUNTY, Ohio — A portion of I-71 northbound has been reopened in Medina County following a crash involving a semi truck on Tuesday morning.
According to the Ohio Department of Transportation, the left lane of I-71 North between State Route 83 and I-76 remains closed while crews continue cleaning up debris from the crash.
"Motorists are no longer being detoured at SR 83. Traffic is still moving slowly, so be sure to give yourself some extra time if you are traveling that way," ODOT advised.
According to an ODOT spokesperson, crews are continuing to clean up the crash during the afternoon. The semi was apparently hauling a refrigerated trailer and when it rolled, it spread food across the roadway. That means crews have had to haul away all of the damaged goods, plus empty out the
