Among some stellar acts set to perform upcoming shows in Charleston is a crooner icon embarking on his farewell tour.

Grammy, Tony and Emmy award-winning legend Barry Manilow is set to play at the North Charleston Coliseum at 7 p.m. on Jan. 14. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Sept. 26 at ticketmaster.com and barrymanilow.com .

Charleston is among nine cities announced for the tour.

Manilow previously played at the North Charleston Coliseum in January of 2014, during which he offered free tickets for those who brought instrument donations in partnership with Charleston schools.

These were for his Manilow Music Project , which has donated millions of dollars in instruments and resources to schools across the country, ensuring future generations have access to music education. Man
