A "ludicrous" proposal to build log cabins in a Midland village has been taken to appeal. Plans for nine holiday lets were dismissed by Wychavon District Council in March.
But the final verdict now lies with a government planning inspector. The proposed cabins are intended for land at The Furrows, off Main Street in Aldington, near Evesham.
District planners argued the cabins would be a "visually intrusive addition to the rural landscape" and would constitute "an unsustainable form of development".

The plans also generated 32 objections from residents, who voiced concerns about potential noise from the cabins, insufficient infrastructure in the village, and the increase in traffic it would cause.
