ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – With many people choosing to adopt a vegan or vegetarian diet, finding options at a reasonable price nearby may be challenging for some. WalletHub released its recent study on the best cities vegans and vegetarians. The study compared the 100 largest cities across 17 different metrics including, cost of groceries, percentage of restaurants offering vegan/vegetarian options, salad shops per capita, farmers markets per capita and more.
New Mexico had one city rank on the list, with Albuquerque ranking 45 overall. In individual metrics Albuquerque ranked 42 in affordability, and 34 in vegetarian lifestyle.
