CUMBERLAND, Maine — The Cumberland Fair is in full swing.
The 153rd fair began Sunday, Sept. 21, and runs through Saturday, Sept. 27, and is open each day from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Tickets are $15, cash only, and kids under 12 get in for free.
The fair features rides, food, exhibition halls, shingle and sawmill demonstrations, harness racing, livestock shows, animal pulls, and more.
This year there is a new exhibition called the Outdoorsmen’s Building. It features different artifacts relating to hunting and fishing in Maine.
The mission of the fair, according to the fair’s secretary Liz Tarantino, is to promote agriculture.
