PORTLAND, Maine — State and local fire officials are continuing their investigation into what caused a deadly fire Sunday morning in Portland, though foul play is not suspected.
Two people were found dead after a fire broke out at a three-story four-unit apartment complex on Munjoy Hill.
The Portland Fire Department responded to 43 St. Lawrence St. around 2:15 a.m. where emergency crews faced heavy fire conditions on the back porch of the building, Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss said in a news release.
