Former Manchester United manager Ralf Rangnick requires ‘further treatment’ in hospital after picking up an infection following ankle surgery.
Rangnick, who currently serves as the Austria national team boss, has undergone multiple surgeries on his ankle in recent months.
According to Bild, the 67-year-old is now facing a longer spell in hospital after contracting an infection following a latest procedure in Bavaria.
The German outlet claim Rangnick picked up the ‘hospital germ’ last week which will now force him to cancel his latest squad announcement next week. His assistant Lars Kornetka will stand in while the head coach recovers.
