WOODFORD COUNTY ( 25News Now ) - A motorcyclist is in the hospital after a crash in Woodford County Tuesday morning.

The sheriff’s office said the crash happened around 8:10 a.m. in the area of Route 117 and 500 North, south of Eureka, between a motorcyle and a pickup pulling a trailer.

Initial findings indicate both vehicles were traveling north on Rt. 117 when the pickup pulling the trailer stopped in the lane of traffic attempting to turn into a field entrance on the west side of the road.

The motorcycle then proceeded to rear-end the trailer, throwing the rider from the motorcycle.

The motorcyclist was taken to a Peoria hospital in critical condition
