The deadline to submit a claim for a settlement involving a popular sparkling prebiotic soda is later this month.
The settlement involves VNGR Beverage LLC, former owners of Poppi. It stems from a 2024 suit that claims the drinks do not contain enough prebiotic fiber to “cause meaningful gut health benefits” from a single can. The complaint alleges that with 2 grams of prebiotic fiber, a consumer needs to drink more than four Poppi sodas in a day to see any health benefits.
The company did not admit to any wrongdoing but agreed to the settlement. Pepsi purchased Poppi in May.
The case involves all Poppi beverages purchased between Jan. 23, 2020 and July 18, 2025. Eligible customers can receive 75-cents for each single can purchased; $3 for 4-pack; $6 for 8-pack; and $9 per 12 or 15
