ST. TAMMANY PARISH, La. — The trial for has been pushed back to next summer. During a pre-trial hearing Tuesday, Judge Alan Zaunbrecher scheduled trial for July 6, 2026. Previously, it was scheduled to begin in the upcoming weeks, on Oct. 6.
There was no reason given in open court for the delay.
A lawyer for 17-year-old Mason Fischer, who is facing charges including second degree murder, asked the judge to consider bond for his client.
