A former Sanger police officer has been sentenced to prison for sexually assaulting four women while on duty.
J. DeShawn Torrence, 41, was sentenced to five consecutive life sentences.
Flashback: A federal jury convicted Torrence of eight counts of deprivation of constitutional rights under color of law after a two-and-a-half-week trial in January. • The jury found that five of the counts involving kidnapping, aggravated sexual abuse or attempted aggravated sexual abuse.
