SEATTLE — Hazy skies will return to western Washington on Tuesday as smoke from the wildfires burning in central and eastern Washington makes its way toward the coast.
Air quality is already in the moderate range for much of the region and is expected to continue getting worse until midday Wednesday. It's unhealthy for sensitive groups to unhealthy in south and east Snohomish County and north and east King County.
An Air Quality Alert is in effect for King and Snohomish counties until noon Wednesday. An alert is also in place for Chelan, Douglas and Okanagan counties until midnight Wednesday.
