KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A police report from the Prairie Village Police Department is revealing new details about the investigation into a Johnson County priest.

Father Richard Storey, the pastor of Curé of Ars Catholic Church in Leawood, resigned last week amid an ongoing criminal investigation, according to the Archdiocese of Kansas City.

According to the police report, Father Storey is accused of committing a crime against an adult victim from March 12, 2022, through Nov. 10, 2022.

The victim reported the crime to the police department on Sept. 4, 2025, according to the report.
