A marital dispute between a newlywed couple in Bengaluru took a serious turn after the wife allegedly demanded Rs 2 crore from her husband for not having sexual relations on their first night and in the weeks following the marriage. The husband, Praveen KM, has filed a police complaint alleging assault by his wife’s family.

Praveen, a resident of Govindaraj Nagar and originally from Chikkamagaluru, married Chandana on May 5 in Tarikere, Chikkamagaluru. The couple subsequently began residing in Saptagiri Palace, Bengaluru. Reports suggest that Praveen hesitated to consummate the marriage on the first night, prompting Chandana to urge him to undergo medical tests. Doctors later confirmed that he was physically fit but advised him to take time due to mental stress.
