The number of sellers who withdrew their listings from the Reno-Sparks housing market skyrocketed this summer, a further sign that Reno’s long-running sellers’ market is cooling.

Unsold listings surged in the last three months, with June and July especially seeing sharp increases compared to the previous year. An unsold listing refers to a home that was listed on the market by a seller but was pulled out after failing to sell. Potential reasons include a listing expiring after a set period or the seller deciding to withdraw it.
