The Utah Humanities Book Festival cracks its cover and celebrates its 28th year with events at various venues from Logan to St. George, said Kase Johnstun, director for the Utah Humanities Center for the Book, who organizes the monthlong event.
“This is the oldest book festival in the state and one of the oldest ongoing festivals in the country,” he said. “It has evolved over time, but our mission of connecting readers with authors and having conversations about what books give to the world has remained the same.”
The festival kicks off with events in the Wasatch Back that are scheduled at the Summit County Library branches, the Park City Library and various venues in Wasatch County, according to Johnstun. (See schedule at tinyurl.com/2s4dtzdf.)
