LAUGHLIN — Ninety Laughlin middle and high school students will be off to see the wizard next month through a community partnership that ties academic performance to incentives.
On Friday, Oct. 3, selected students in grades 6 through 12 will attend a showing of “The Wizard of Oz” at the Sphere, a fully immersive, 4D reimagining of the 1939 classic film. Ten teachers will accompany the students on the trip being funded through a partnership between Bilbray Industries and the Laughlin Economic Development Corporation, which together are donating $13,000 for tickets and transportation. ×
