RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - The Richmond and Henrico Health Districts (RHHD) encourages those with asthma-like symptoms to seek help managing asthma this fall.
In recognition of Asthma Peak Week, the third week of September, the RHHD encourages those to pay close attention to heightened symptoms of asthma like wheezing, chest tightness, and shortness of breath.
RHHD child health advisor Becca Bruhl states that Richmond is ranked 16th by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America for asthma capitals.
In September, asthma irritants like ragweed and mold are more prevalent, which can lead to more respiratory infections.
Bruhl emphasizes that we take “meaningful steps to support those affected by this very common chronic condition.”
Steps to manage asthma include learning signs of asthma, re
